Simon Says: you shouldn’t have to pick between your friends and your crush. If you really got to know this guy well over the summer and are still crushing on him, chances are there are a ton of great things about him. If your friends don’t like him—ask yourself why. Do they think he’s not cool enough? Funny enough? Hot enough? Whether he is any or all of these things is up to one person: YOU. If you like him, go for it! And if your friends don’t get it, you can choose to hang out with your crush separately. Or better yet, make plans with your crush and your friends together so they can see how great he is. Either way, you have a right to hang out with, and crush on, anyone at all. Remember that, and rock on.
